Polini has analysed the systematics of the original old clutch type of the V50/Primavera, ET3 and the early PK models with central spring, identified the weak points and eliminated them.
The result was a solution that was as simple as it was ingenious. The lower spring plate and the outer cover plate have been massively reinforced. This means that they no longer twist despite the increased spring force and the clutch can separate cleanly and exert even more contact pressure on the clutch facings due to the stronger spring. The enclosed springs are already sporty taut, so the conversion to a clutch cover of the Vespa XL2 models is definitely advisable for the everyday driver. This allows, due to a different lever ratio and a rack and pinion operated release mechanism, a much easier operation of the clutch lever on the handlebars. A good and sufficiently dimensioned clutch cable with PTFE inner life ideally complements this conversion.
The scope of delivery includes the lower and upper cover plate as well as a reinforced double spring. The Polini Double Spring clutch parts can be completed with the standard parts of any clutch of the old type with central spring (not PK XL2). The clutch can be used with either a 3 or 4 disc clutch facing kit.
