The Pinasco Power Clutch for Vespa Wideframe is an adapted Vespa PX clutch.
Compared to the Cosa clutch types, which are meanwhile established in all performance classes, the old clutch type with open springs only offers a weight advantage.
Due to the small diameter of only slightly more than 100mm, this is unfortunately not as noticeable as e.g. on a flywheel. The well-known weaknesses of the clutch type favored by Pinasco are counteracted here with some tricks.
So Pinasco uses a reinforcement ring welded onto the clutch basket to counteract the dreaded clutch bursting. This allows the use of reinforced springs without the risk of the basket bending under the higher load.
The original Piaggio bush between pinion and hub is a needle bearing. Pinasco promises thereby a reduced tendency to clutch plucking. The corresponding running surface on the hub is hardened and grinded.
The conventional Vespa PX pad of the 80-150ccm models is used as pad type. Here in the version with three facing plates.
The clutch is delivered without clutch pinion.

To ensure that the PX clutch type fits into the engine housings of Wideframe engines, Pinasco includes a spacer for the clutch cover and a modified thrust plate for the crankshaft.
Please check the distance between the rear tire and the clutch cover before the first test drive!
As lubricant we recommend the BGM Pro Street gear oil (BGM2025, corresponds to specification API GL-3).
